BCI has a rich and diverse experience summarised as follows:
South-East Asia, Latin America and Carribean:
- Designing and implementing administrative organization / processes around subsidies, assessing their effectiveness and advising on improvements;
- Monitoring, analysis and governance/management advice regarding (highly) complex programs (National Government, development cooperation from Big 4);
- Developing project plans and financing for international donors as well as developing management plans and business cases for three nature reserves in Suriname;
- Team manager and improving team performance;
- Founder and board member of a private primary school in Suriname following the Dutch system (affiliated with the Foundation for Dutch Education Abroad);
Europe:
- Interim subsidy advisor for Wetterskip Friesland (shaping subsidy/lobby function, identifying subsidy opportunities);
- Interim subsidy advisor for the municipality of Westerwolde (identifying subsidy opportunities, designing energy poverty scheme including processes);
- Subsidy advisor for energy transition in the municipality of Lelystad (identifying subsidy opportunities, policy development, grid congestion, designing subsidy schemes);
- Developing and writing international project proposals (INTERREG, Horizon, Green Climate Fund, I3, Life, GEF);
- Project and program management of international projects;
